What is Image for DOS?

Image for DOS (IFD) is a partition imaging program that runs under DOS (MS-DOS, PC-DOS, FreeDOS, etc.).  IFD has the advantage of running outside of Windows when this functionality is needed, and can even be run from a bootable floppy disk.

IFD is included with the purchase of Image for Windows (IFW) or Image for Linux (IFL).

IFD can be run:

  • Interactively, using simple menu-driven options
  • From the command line
  • From batch files

Additional information can be found on the Image for Dos product page on the website and in the Image for DOS manual.
