Important Information on IDE Hard Drives Larger than 128GB
If your IDE hard drive is larger than 128GB then please note the following information:
If the OS version does not support IDE hard drives larger than 128GB, then it will most likely corrupt the drive if it attempts to access the area above 128GB. This corruption occurs because the native IDE drivers do not support IDE hard drives larger than 128GB and will simply "wrap" back to the beginning of the drive at 128GB.
Please review the OS information below to determine if the native OS drivers support IDE hard drives larger than 128GB. Note that there may be a driver available from the manufacturer of the IDE controller that supports hard drives larger than 128GB.
Windows 9X/ME
Windows 9X/ME native drivers do not support hard drives larger than 128GB.
Windows NT
Windows NT native drivers do not support hard drives larger than 128GB.
Windows 2000

Windows XP

Windows Vista and Windows 7/8.x/10
