How to Manually Set a Partition Active

To set a partition active using BootIt Bare Metal do the following:

1. If installed, boot to BootIt BM. If not installed, boot to the BootIt BM Setup media (CD, USB flash drive, floppy).
   
   
2. If installed, enter Maintenance Mode by clicking the Maintenance button. If booted from the installation media, click the Cancel button to enter Maintenance Mode.
   
   
3. Click the Partition Work button.
   
   
4. Select the desired drive from the Drives drop-down box.
   
   
5. Click the View MBR button.
   
   
6. Highlight the partition you want active and click the Set Active button.
   
   
7. Click the Apply button.
   
   

To prevent loss of active status, consider enabling the Keep HD Active option in BootIt BM. Use this option to ensure that the active status on all hard drives remains active.
