Does Image for Windows Require Administrator Privileges to Run?

Under Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista and Windows 7/8.x/10, you must run Image for Windows as a user with Administrator privileges for the local machine.

In Windows 2000/XP, you can right click and choose Run as if you do not normally log on with Administrator privileges.

  • The Run as function requires that the Secondary Logon service be enabled and running.
In Windows Vista or later, please refer to the article titled How to Run Image for Windows Under Windows Vista or Windows 7/8.x/10 for more information.
