Accessing a Network Drive is Extremely Slow

Try the following to solve this issue:

  • Check with the manufacturer of the Ethernet card (NIC) on the target system for a driver update and install it.
     
  • Ensure you are not running a mixed-duplex environment.

  • Try running IFD from a batch file and use the IOBS option (as explained in the IFD documentation):

    Image for DOS V2: Use the /iobs command line option or specify IOBD=1 in IFD.INI (in the applicable section).

    Image for DOS V1: Set the value to A to automatically determine the best value, or to 1, 2 or 3. For example: set IFD=IOBS:A
