Messages “Unable to Mount File System”, “Unable to Read or Process the Boot File”, or “File System Corrupt or not Formatted”

This problem can occur for a number of reasons:

• The affected partition is not formatted.
• Other third-party software was used to restore partitions/volumes.

To correct this problem, first make sure that the affected partition is formatted. This may be all you need to do to correct the problem.

If third-party software (other than TeraByte Unlimited products) was used to restore partitions or volumes, the problem is most likely that the software either did not correctly initialize the FAT/FAT32 BPB, or did not create a correct partition entry. In this case, either resize the partition to the same size using BootIt BM (if it will let you without getting one of the messages above), or enter the Properties display of that partition/volume while holding down the left Shift key; after which you can change the ending LBA to match the warning message in the Additional Information area and click the OK button (or press F10).

If you have manually edited the ending LBA, then you should view the properties of that partition/volume again to make sure the warning message is gone. Also, if you're concerned about alignment, you'll want to resize the partition/volume to the same size it is after adjusting the ending LBA manually and before rebooting.
