Deploying Windows Over an Existing Installation Using Sysprep or Remote Installation Service (RIS)
Problem
You wish to use Sysprep and/or Remote Installation Services (RIS) to deploy Windows when each of the following conditions are true:
Configure the Sysprep and/or RIS answer file (e.g. sysprep.inf or ristndrd.sif) so that it includes the following two settings (along with the other settings already present, according to your configuration):
[SetupData]
ExtendOEMPartition = 0
[RemoteInstall]
Repartition = No
The ExtendOEMPartition = 0 setting prevents setup from extending the installation partition so that it fills up the entire hard drive.
The Repartition = No setting will prevent setup from deleting all partitions on the first drive of the client computer and reformatting the entire drive with the NTFS file system.

- The target system has more than one partition.
- You do not wish the non-Windows partition(s) to be altered by Windows setup.
